Pegasus Court, 3

Nos. 3 and 5 Pegasus Court, Mill Street Red brick house of C18 type unusual in what is generally an area of stone built dwellings of the period; natural slate roof with red ridge tiles and red brick stacks. Now single depth plan with the original service wing replaced by additional late C20 housing units in character. Symmetrical front with central entry. Three storeys, three windows. Large 6-panel door with Adam type 'cobweb' fanlight and open pediments surround. This is a late C20 in character replacement of two modern doors in place at listing in 1974. Brick bands at both floors. Windows are sashes with keyed heads, 8 over 8 panes; windows at second floor are 4 over 4 panes. Moulded and dentil cornice, hipped roof with two multi-flued stacks on the rear wall. Additional housing units are now attached to both the left gable wall and the rear elevation along Mill Street.

This house has no rear elevation.

Interior not inspected at resurvey, but it will have been altered when converted to two properties (see History).
