Description

Nos. 34 and 36 Cross Street Roughcast rendered and painted with a natural slate roof; the jetty indicates that it is at least partly timber framed. Single depth plan rectangular block parallel with the street; modern extensions at the rear. Two storeys, three windows to whole, 2 + 1 (Nos. 36 & 34). No. 34 has a late C20 shopfront with door to the left. Shop door glazed in small panes, stall-riser, 3-light display window, return to right built out to support the jetty; steel casement above. No. 36 has the house doorway to the right, plain plank door. Recessed C20 small paned shop window and door to left. Two 6 + 6 pane casements above. Steeply pitched plain roof with a hint of separation in the centre. Rear elevation has single storey flat roofed C20 extensions to both halves. Modern casement to each house in wall above. Large hall lateral stack to No. 36. The roof of No. 34 comes slightly lower and is slightly steeper in pitch.
