Description
Mounton House Cottages is a two-storey row of cottages built from squared limestone rubble with tiled roofs. The design features a layout of 1:7:1 bays, where the outer bays are set forward and gabled, each containing 3-light mullioned lattice windows on both floors. The central section has three doors and four 2-light windows on the ground floor arranged as door, window, window, door, window, door. Above this, there are 3-light windows at each end and a larger 7-light window in the center. The roof is topped with three large stone stacks, positioned on each cross gable and one in the center. Each gable end includes a 5-light window below and a 2-light window above. The rear elevation features six gabled dormers. The interior was not available for inspection at the time of resurvey.
