Description

This is a row of four cottages dating to the late 18th and early 19th centuries. The cottages are constructed of roughcast rubble limestone with stone slate eaves courses and a pantile roof. They are two storeys high, with a total of four windows on the first floor, and an outshut which was likely added later. The cottages feature quoins, and have paired central doorways and doorways at each end, all with boarded doors featuring ovolo-moulded beads. The doorways have ashlar surrounds with Tudor-arched lintels. Each cottage has a two-light mullioned window with a horizontally-sliding casement and glazing bars, set within a recessed, chamfered surround on each floor. They have kneelers and square-cut gable copings, and an offset base with two rendered brick ridge stacks.
