Description

The teahouse in the garden of Mounton House is a small square building constructed of stone, featuring a main front made of timber framing with plastered infill in the panels and a Welsh slate roof. It has a tall gabled front that is now covered over on the lower floor. The ground floor includes an open window space flanked by studwork on either side of a central open doorway, all of which is currently covered over. Above this area, there is vertical studwork with a blocked window, which has continuous glazing in three panels, followed by more vertical studding in the gable. The sides and rear of the building are integrated into the walls of the orchard. The interior was not available for inspection at the time of the resurvey.
