Description
12 High Street is a building with a Georgian and early 20th-century frontage. It serves as a shop with accommodation above and is attached on one side. The exterior is roughcast with an eaves cornice and a slate roof, and the building stands three storeys high. It features a two-window range: the top floor has former sash windows that have been replaced with UPVC, while the first floor has twin shallow rectangular bays with Gothic-arched lights, including three at the front and one on each side. The ground floor shopfront includes fluted pilasters and brackets that support the fascia cornice, with a doorway located to the right. The long side elevation facing the lane has some sash windows set in reveals, and at the base, there are protective stones that were previously installed to prevent wheels from damaging the building. The rear windows have also been replaced with UPVC.
