Description
29 High Street is a Regency building that now functions as a restaurant. It has two storeys with service rooms above and is rendered with a high parapet featuring painted coping, situated in front of a hipped slate roof with a long narrow brick stack. The building is divided into three storeys by platbands. It has a four-window range of 12-pane sashes with narrow glazing bars set in reveals and wide flat sills. On the High Street elevation, there are two windows, one in a radius, and one on the end elevation. The ground floor of both elevations features 19th-century shop fronts with Corinthian pilasters, moulded mullions, a wooden fascia above, and plate glass windows, including a corner entrance. The rear elevation facing Bank Street is blank except for a single sash window on the upper floor. The building is attached to 29a, which is not listed.
