Description
27 High Street is a Georgian building that serves as a shop with offices, featuring shopfronts on both High Street and Bank Street. The exterior has walls finished with scored render and a high parapet topped with stone coping, sitting in front of a hipped 20th-century concrete tile roof. The building has three storeys and a two-window arrangement of sash windows, with moulded voussoirs and a grooved keystone; the top floor has 9-pane windows while the first floor has 12-pane windows. The plinth includes 20th-century shopfronts, and the sashes on the rear windows have been replaced.
Inside, the building retains moulded surrounds on the doors, a staircase with a ramped handrail, and stick balusters that run parallel to the frontage.
