Description

The Warrage is a farmhouse built from colourwashed rendered rubble stone, topped with a steep hipped roof made of imitation slates. It features a large rendered axial ridge stack at the center. The building is two storeys high and has a four-window range, with three triple casements on the first floor and a small square four-pane window above the door in the second bay. The ground floor has cambered-headed windows, including a triple casement to the left of the door and pairs of casements to the right, with the far-right window being smaller. There is a boarded door set within a 20th-century open gabled porch.

Flanking the farmhouse are outbuildings; the one on the left is a single-storey structure, also rendered and colourwashed, featuring a red brick stack at the left end and two pairs of casement windows at varied heights. The taller range to the right is a lofted stable made of rubble stone, with one pair of casement windows to the left. All windows have been renewed and feature red tile sills from the 20th century.

The rear of the building exposes four windows made of rubble stone, with timber lintels and brick voussoirs above the segmental-headed ground floor windows. The windows beneath the chimney illuminate the staircase, and there is a hooded entrance to the right with a boarded door.

Inside, the farmhouse has stone flagged floors. A central chimney features a chamfered wooden lintel over the west fireplace and a chamfered stone lintel over the east. The interior also boasts heavy chamfered beams with stepped hollow moulded stops and a stud-and-panel partition wall. A former outside wooden ovolo-moulded window from the 17th century is exposed in the former stable block, which also has pegged roof trusses.
