Description

The churchyard cross in the churchyard of St Mary is a restored structure made of sandstone ashlar and dressed sandstone. It has a square plan and stands on three broad steps that feature prominent nosings. The riser of the lowest step is decorated with three sunk moulded panels on each side. At the center of the top step is a short medieval base that is square at the bottom and transitions to an octagonal shape with large broach stops. The cross itself has a simple octagonal shaft and is chamfered, with an inscription on the east side that reads "PAX VOBISCUM / 1926".
