Description
The churchyard cross, located about 5 yards south of the vestry of the Church of St Mary, dates from the 15th century and was restored in the early 20th century. It is made of sandstone ashlar. The cross features a square plinth with two steps leading up to a large cubic base that rises to an octagonal top with rounded corners. On the west face of the base, there is a gabled niche that encloses septfoil cusping around a 2-centred inner blind arch. The shaft and capital, which are octagonal, were added during the early 20th century.
