Description

The forecourt walls, railings, and gates of numbers 2-11 Mount Pleasant are part of a group of buildings that date back to the 19th century. Each house features a long front garden that is bordered by a stone wall, which may be rendered in some places. The walls are often topped with railings. The front gates are flanked by tall gatepiers that have stepped coping, and they are fitted with iron gates. The railings and gates are adorned with decorative finials in the shapes of spears, fleur-de-lys, and orbs.
