Description

The Hendre Farmhouse is a two-storey farmhouse built from rubble stone, topped with a slate roof and featuring brick stacks. The east front has an off-centre two-storey gabled porch, which includes an upper 2-pane casement window and a doorway below with a timber lintel and a 20th-century boarded door. On the first floor, there are three 2+2 pane casement windows, with two located to the left of the porch and one to the right, all having 20th-century concrete sills. The ground floor mirrors this arrangement with similar windows, one on each side of the porch, and stone sills. The south gable has a single-storey lean-to attached, featuring 20th-century glazed double doors to the east and a 20th-century 2+2 pane casement window to the south. Above the lean-to, the gable of the farmhouse has a blocked opening, which may have been a window for a former fireplace stair.

The farmhouse follows a three-unit plan. The parlour features chamfered ceiling beams with hollow and fillet (Wern-hir) stops, along with chamfered joists that have straight cut stops. The end rooms also have chamfered beams with straight cut stops. A late 17th-century staircase with splat balusters is present within the building.
