Description
Nos. 8 and 10 Glendower Street are three-storey buildings, although they are only two storeys at the rear. They have a rendered and painted exterior with a Welsh slate roof and a double depth plan. The ground floor features two doors and three windows arranged as Door : Window : Window : Door : Window. The doorway to No. 8 is plain, while No. 10 has a wide pedimented hood, and both have four-panel doors. In the center of the ground floor, there is a projecting bay with delicate rounded corner columns and small 6 x 4 pane windows, which were introduced after the building was listed in 1974; some original fabric may remain from an early 19th-century shop window. The other ground floor windows are 3 + 3 pane casements. The first floor has five windows, and the second floor has three, all of which are casements, with the second-floor windows being 2 + 2 pane. The roof has a moderate pitch with tall stacks on either gable. The rear elevation features a much steeper roof pitch due to the two-storey height. The interior was not seen during the resurvey.
