Description

Nos. 8 and 10 Glendower Street Rendered and painted with a Welsh slate roof. Double depth plan. Three storeys, but only two at the rear. The ground floor has two doors and three windows, D : W : W : D : W. Plain doorway to No. 8, wide pedimented hood to No. 10, 4-panel doors to both. At the centre of the ground floor a projecting bay with delicate rounded corner columns and small panes 6 x 4 (this glazing has been introduced since listing in 1974); some of the fabric may survive from an early C19 shop-window. The other ground floor windows are 3 + 3 pane casements. Five first floor windows, three at second, all casements, the second floor ones are 2 + 2 pane only. Moderate pitch roof with tall stack on either gable. The rear elevation showsa much steeper roof pitch since it has only two storeys.
