Description
Nos. 4 and 6 Glendower Street are a pair of houses built with a double depth plan. No. 4 is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond, featuring Forest of Dean stone dressings and a Welsh slate roof. No. 6 has roughcast render, which has been removed from No. 4. Both houses are three storeys high, with two windows each. Notable features of No. 4 include chamfered quoins, keyed window heads, and a modillion eaves cornice, along with an intact doorcase that has an open pediment. No. 6 retains only the pediment. Each house has a six-panel door with a radiating fanlight. The windows are six over six pane sash windows with stone cills, except for the second-floor windows, which are three over six pane. They have a moderate pitch M-roof with a shared ridge stack. The rear elevation has not been seen.
The interior has not been observed during the resurvey, but it is noted to have contemporary joinery and a staircase with stick balusters and turned newel posts.
