Description
Nos. 11 and 13 Chippenhamgate Street are two cottages dating from the 18th century. They are constructed with roughcast render and feature a plinth and Welsh slate roofs. These cottages are set forward of Nos. 7 and 9 to the right. Each cottage is single fronted and double depth, with the entrance door located on the right side.
Both cottages are two storeys tall and have one window each. No. 11 features a tripartite sash window with 6 over 6 panes on each floor. The doorway has a small broken pediment hood supported by brackets, and it includes a 20th-century replacement door with two panels below and three panes above. No. 13 has plain 20th-century plate glass sashes. Each house has a low pitch roof with a ridge stack located to the left. The rear elevation is not visible.
The interior was not inspected during the resurvey, but it is clear that the rooms are likely to be very small.
