22 Church Street

22 Church Street is a three-storey gabled house built with a timber frame, featuring slate hung cement render and a Welsh slate roof. The building has its gable end facing the street and includes an early 20th-century shopfront with a central entrance and a sloped fascia that conceals the jetty. On the first floor, there is a single three-light steel casement window, with paired two-light windows in the gable above. The house has plain bargeboards, and the rear elevation features a coped gable with a six-over-six pane sash window above a three-light steel casement.

The interior has undergone alterations, including changes to the planning and details, and the staircase has been replaced. However, some original features remain, such as chamfered cross-beams with lamb's tongue stops and parts of the principal rafter roofs, which are pegged and halved at the apex. The rubblestone dividing walls are also visible. Additionally, the interior has been connected to that of No. 20.
