Description
Sycamore Lodge is a building made of coursed grey sandstone rubble with Bath stone ashlar dressings and a replacement slate roof. It features a single storey schoolroom on the right and a two storey master's house on the left. The house has three windows, with the leftmost window set slightly back, likely indicating a later, possibly modern extension that is built in character. All windows are cross-framed casements within painted stone surrounds. The two right bays of the house create a balanced appearance, highlighted by a central gabled porch, which is also a modern alteration. There are three red brick stacks. The schoolroom on the right has a gabled front and includes a large three-light, two-transom window, along with a small quatrefoil ventilator in the gable that features plain bargeboards. The rear elevation was not visible during the inspection.
