Description

St. Arvans Court is a two-storey and attic, double-depth house, likely dating from the 18th century, with a balanced three-bay front. The exterior is rendered and painted, probably over a rubble stone core, and topped with Welsh slate roofs. The front features symmetrical 6-over-6 sash windows with horns, each adorned with Tudor-style dripmoulds. A square porch, likely added around 1840 along with the dripmoulds and possibly the quoins, sits centrally and has a cornice and a modern door. A central eaves pediment contains a circular window. Red brick gable stacks are positioned at each end of the house. The gable ends contain a small arched window on the second floor and another in the attic gable. The rear elevation mirrors the front with four windows, also featuring dripmoulds, and has its own gable stacks. The house was not available for internal inspection at the time of the resurvey.
