Description

Usk Bridge is a 19th-century structure built from local red sandstone, which is coursed and squared but not fully ashlar. The bridge features five segmental arches, with the road sloping up to the center. Pointed cutwaters transition into pilasters between each arch and on both sides of the bridge. The widening of the bridge is evident in the arch soffits. Above the arches, there is a continuous band, although this is obscured on the downstream side by an attached cast iron pipe. The parapet wall has a flat stone coping.
