Description
East Barn at Three Stones Farm is a 19th-century barn constructed from roughly coursed and squared red sandstone rubble, featuring larger quoins and a more substantial plinth that may be older. The roof is covered with corrugated metal sheeting. The barn is built into the bank at the south end, with the plinth supporting the north gable at the entrance to the farmyard. The road-facing elevation includes paired square ventilation holes on either side of the boarded cart doors leading to the threshing floor. The gable wall has paired slit vents, with a single vent positioned above in the gable. The interior was not inspected during the resurvey, but the exterior indicates that the barn has six bays with a tallet at the north end.
