Description

This is a K6 type telephone call box, built from cast iron and designed to a standard specification. It features an embossed foundry plate indicating it was made by the Lion Foundry Company Limited in Kirkintilloch. The kiosk has a domed roof adorned with four lunettes that display King George VI crowns above red lettered opals and ventilation slits. The door and sides have raised surrounds with marginal glazing bars on the horizontal glazing. The rear of the box is blank, and it stands on a moulded plinth.
