Description

This is a K6 type telephone call-box located outside the Post Office. It is a square, red kiosk made of cast iron. The foundry plate is embossed but cannot be read. The call-box features a domed roof with four lunettes, each displaying a King George VI crown above red-lettered opals and ventilation slits. The door and sides have raised surrounds with marginal glazing bars for the horizontal glazing. The rear of the kiosk is blank, and it has a moulded plinth.
