Description
Holly Tree Cottage is a two-storey house with attics in the main block and a two-storey extension, all rendered and topped with a Welsh slate roof. The main block is a double fronted, single depth house featuring a rear stair wing. It has three windows, all of which are sashes without glazing bars, and a central modern glazed door. The eaves cornice is decorated with wood modillions, and the roof is half-hipped with red brick end stacks and two rooflights. To the right is a later two-storey extension with a lower roof, also three windows wide, featuring tripartite windows on the ground floor and plain windows above, all of which are plate glass sashes. There is a small stable attached to the right of this extension. The gable elevation facing the road is blind, except for a 3 + 3 pane steel casement window in the garret. The rear elevation is also blind, apart from a stair window. The interior has not been seen during the resurvey but is reported to be much altered, with the original spiral stair replaced, except for a stone spiral leading to the cellar.
