Description
The Virtuous Well is a stone basin that likely dates back to medieval times. It is situated in an arched recess, which is surrounded by a horse-shoe shaped wall. Steps lead down to the basin, and there are niches on either side for drinking vessels. The wall containing the well or spring is built into the bank, featuring an arched entrance in the center with niches flanking it. In front of the well, there is a small courtyard with benches along the curved walls. The steps are located outside the entrance to this courtyard. Additionally, a small stone basin is set into an apsed niche.
