Description
Glansirhowy Farm is a house constructed from painted rubble stone and brick, topped with slate roofs. It is two storeys high and has a T-shaped layout. A large stone chimney is located at the end of the main section, while a renewed brick chimney is found on the gable of the cross-wing to the left. The gable of the cross-wing has been significantly altered with brick for 19th-century chimney flues and features a 20th-century window in a longer opening. The left side of the cross-wing has brick-framed windows, including a square window above a ground floor door, flanked by triple casements, all with cambered arched heads. The left end gable of the cross-wing has a corbelled chimney breast, although the stack has been removed.
The main range to the right of the cross-wing has two 20th-century windows under the eaves; the left window is long and may have replaced a mullioned window, while the centre window is square. The ground floor is enclosed within an added outbuilding that features a 20th-century door set in a chamfered 16th-century oak frame, alongside a notable 6-light oak mullion window with three sets of three lights, diamond mullions, and a heavy centre mullion set in a double-chamfered frame. There is also a 20th-century single-storey range attached to the gable end.
While the interior is not accessible, it is reported to have a section of reused stud and panel partition in the main range. The central beams feature chamfered designs with keeled hollow stops in one house, and all beams in the other. The layout suggests there is a fireplace at the right end of the main range, with a spiral staircase to the right and a cupboard to the left.
