Description
Watford Fach Farmhouse, dating from the 18th century, is a two-storey, three-window house that faces east. The building is rendered and topped with a stone tiled roof, featuring a ridge stack and a stack at the north end. To the right of the center is a gabled porch that contains a 20th-century panelled door. There are two windows to the left of the entrance and one to the right, all of which are two-casement multipane wooden windows with flat heads and raised surrounds. The upper storey has three windows that are not aligned with those below, including a small eight-pane window to the left of the sash and another window to the right that matches those below.
Adjoining the farmhouse on the left is a former barn, which is also rendered but has a slate roof. This single-storey structure features a three-window front, with two top-hung multipane windows and one UPVC window.
At the rear of the farmhouse, there is a large single-storey lean-to that includes a door and a window, as well as a top-hung window on the south side. Further north, there is a gabled range that connects to a former single-storey stable block, which has been converted for accommodation. The rear of the barn has a central door set under a segmental arch made of voussoirs, flanked by 20th-century windows similar to those at the front. Access to the interior was not available at the time of inspection on September 23, 1998.
