Description

The former Navigation Colliery Powder Store is constructed of red engineering brick with cement render, although the render is now not intact. It features a single arch vaulted roof and has a doorway on the south side. The adjoining revetment walls, made of rubble, support the steep hillside and create a protective enclosure for the store. The rear terrace wall extends from north of the Powder Store to the Electrical Outbuilding, where it continues into the rock behind the buildings.
