Description

Comprising 2 separate 2-storey wings. The earlier wing, facing N and at R angles to the road, has a later wing set well back on the R side and with an entrance in its L gable end behind the earlier wing. Both wings are 2 storeys with basements, of rubble stone with tooled dressings and slate roofs with end stone stacks. The earlier wing, facing N, is double fronted with openings beneath segmental stone heads. In the upper storey and lower L are hornless sash windows, with replaced door and window to the centre and R. To the rear are 2 smaller hornless sash windows over an added rendered lean-to with 2 hornless sashes. The rear wing entrance is offset to the L in the gable end and is late C19, comprising an elliptical keyed arch with half-lit door and plain overlight. Above it is a small-pane fixed window. The gable end and the first bay of the S side wall are rendered and painted cream. The S side wall is 3 bays with horned sashes below stone lintels, with a stone segmental cellar door to the L side with boarded door. The rear gable end, backing on to the Glamorganshire Canal, has a boarded-up lintelled opening to the R side of the cellar. The N side wall is 2 bays with horned sashes under lintels.
