Description
The Former Mission Hall is a rectangular chapel built from snecked rock-faced stone, topped with a hipped slate roof featuring boarded eaves. The openings in the structure are round-headed and adorned with voussoirs, although the original windows have been replaced with smaller-pane versions that are less deep than the originals, while the original stone sills remain intact. The entrance is located at the right (southeast) end, where two windows flank a central doorway that has been partly infilled with a modern square-headed door. Above the entrance is a shaped freestone plaque that reads "Chain Works Mission Hall AD 1873." The side walls of the chapel feature three windows each. On the left side of the rear elevation, there is a blocked opening. The interior has been converted for domestic use.
