Description

The former stables at Ty Bronna is a single-storey building with a loft, constructed into a bank, making it significantly taller on the south side. It features a steeply pitched slate roof and roughcast elevations, likely over brick, similar to the main house. The building has stone mullioned windows with metal small-paned casements and battered angle buttresses that match the main house.

Facing north towards the house, there is a large chimney on the left side. Each end of the building has a cross gable; the right gable includes a loft doorway flanked by windows, which have been replaced by a modern three-light casement. Below this, the original broad boarded coach-house doors have been removed and replaced with two two-light casements. To the right of the left gable, there is a projecting single-storey gabled wing with a tall shouldered chimney breast. Between this wing and the right gable, there are two doors and two windows, which are modern domestic features replacing the original stable types.

The rear (south) side of the building has battered buttresses and windows set at eaves level, including one, two, and three-light casements, with a roundel in the left gable. Attached rendered walls to the north form a yard. The interior was not seen during the resurvey in January 2002.
