Description
The Railway Bridge carrying Pwllmelin Road is made of red conglomerate stone, which is cut into square blocks, and features a dressed sandstone coping. It spans a cutting and has straight abutments, along with a single segmental arch that has a "shouldered" profile, similar to designs by Isambard Kingdom Brunel for the South Wales Railway.
