Description
The Taff Vale Railway Bridge at Abercynon is a skewed railway bridge featuring two unequal arches. It is constructed from coursed rock-faced stone, which includes conglomerate Radyr stone in the rounded coping of the parapet. The voussoirs extend around the entire arch down to the base of the river pier and abutments, with a projecting course at track level. The northern arch is taller and wider than the other. The bridge also has three tiers of horizontal railings.
