Description
Ynys Bridge is a structure featuring a parapet made of snecked rockfaced stone, topped with large coping stones of Radyr stone, which is a red conglomerate that has been roughly hewn. At the base of the parapet, there is an additional band of Radyr stone. The bridge has two narrow cutwater piers with moulded bands that extend beyond the width of the bridge on either side. It also includes three wide elliptical arches constructed with rough voussoirs, which have pointed ends where they are not truncated against the parapet, and these arches feature a tooled edge.
