Description
Bridge Cottage is a small single-storey cottage with a loft, built from white-washed rubble stone. It features a steeply pitched slate roof and a tall red brick chimney stack on the right side. The front of the cottage faces south and has a doorway to the left of center, which was formerly fitted with a boarded door. This doorway is flanked by small window openings, both of which have timber lintels and stone sills but are now boarded over. The window opening on the right is slightly larger and originally had a sash window without glazing bars, while the left window contained a casement. The east gable end has a loft window to the left of the chimney stack, and there is a small rear lean-to visible on the right side.
At the time of inspection on April 20, 2001, there was no access to the interior, but it was noted to have a large infilled fireplace with a stone staircase beside it leading to the loft.
