Description

The Cottage is a public house built in the Dutch Renaissance style. It features a narrow frontage of three storeys plus an attic. The building is constructed of red brick with bathstone dressings, which include end pilasters adorned with floral reliefs at the first-floor level and cornices between the floors. The attic window is framed by a bathstone Dutch gable. A moulded brick parapet displays the inscription "Cardiff Cottage." There is a two-storey wooden oriel window with sash glazing, which is flanked at the first-floor level by iron lanterns. The ground level showcases a restored 19th-century public house front.
