Description
The Cheltenham & Gloucester Building Society is a three-storey shop built in the 15th-century Venetian Gothic style. The structure is made of brick with painted freestone dressings and features a bracketed cornice. On the second floor, there are two paired windows with lobed heads, which are enclosed within a hoodmould and supported by a cusped impost band. The first floor has two pairs of Gothic windows, each enclosed by round arches that have relief decoration on their heads, along with a foliage band at the impost level. The shopfront, which dates from the 20th century, is framed by classicising pillars.
