Description
Pill du Farm is a long house that was originally a farmhouse, with an adjoining byre to the east and a barn to the west, now combined into a single dwelling. It features a single-storey porch-type wing facing the road and a garden porch. The building is constructed of colourwashed stone and has a Welsh slate roof with rooflights and yellow brick ridge stacks. It stands two storeys tall, with most windows being 2-light wood casements.
The garden frontage displays a five-window range on the main house, with the upper windows positioned close under the eaves. There is a central porch and a second door on the ground floor to the right. The doorway from the former barn on the left has been converted into a window. The rear elevation facing the road has a two-window range to the left of the porch wing, along with an additional ground floor window in the set-back former byre range. To the right, there is a single window range, and the barn range at the end is also set back, with a former door blocked and partly incorporating a French window, while retaining a timber lintel. Ventilation slits are present on two levels.
Inside, the original description notes chamfered beams with broach stops in the living room and byre, a fireplace in the east wall, stone stairs, and a small window looking into the former byre. Additionally, a former external chimney projects into the former byre.
