Description
Llwyn-coedwr Farmhouse is a two-storey farmhouse and byre of longhouse type, featuring unpainted render and a single slate roof with rendered end stacks. The farmhouse, located on the left, is double-fronted and has a prominent gabled porch. It includes 20th-century square windows on each floor above a longer 20th-century window, with the porch slightly offset to the right. The porch has a steep gable, a small 19th-century four-pane window at the first floor, and a square-headed entrance with the house door inside.
The byre has older render and features a nine-pane window above a lean-to porch, along with a small 20th-century window, all situated on the left side adjoining the house. There are two doors leading to the byre. The rear of the house includes a lean-to, with a cross-passage door at the back of the outer room, as well as two doors and a window leading to the rear of the cowhouse. Access to the loft over the cowhouse is provided by a door from a track on the bank above.
Inside, the hall features a large beam with stepped run-out stops, and there is a fireplace with a timber lintel and a bread oven. To the left of the hall is a deep doorway leading into the outer room. Original stone stairs are located in the corner of the rear lean-to, accessible by a door in the corner of the hall. The outer room at the end of the byre has an arched-headed opening leading to the passage into the hall, one beam, and possible corbelling under plaster for the first-floor chimney in the outer end wall of the house.
