Description
The Farmer's Arms aqueduct over the Neath Canal is a cast iron structure featuring a flat bottom and panelled sides. The sides are designed with alternating faces of half-round Tuscan columns and edged panelling, which includes curved rebates in the corners and alternates between large and small panels. The abutments are made of Pennant sandstone, with semi-circular piers constructed from ashlar stone, topped with stepped coping and rectangular tops that have slab copings. To the southeast, there are squared sandstone block steps and parapets leading to the river.
