Description
The Bluebell Inn Public House is a long inn constructed of scored-rendered stone, featuring a predominantly Welsh slate roof with pantiles on the unit at the right end. It has brick corniced ridge and end stacks, with one lateral stack located at the rear. The building consists of three wings: the main central wing, a lower eaves wing stepped down to the left, and a small uphill wing to the right that has a steeper roof pitch. There is also an attached single-storey gabled cross wing with an unequal pitch roof, which may have been a former wash-house, and a further single-storey wing at the rear with a hipped roof and a curved wall.
The main central unit has a 3/3 pane casement window on the upper storey to the left and a small 4/4 pane casement window to the right. The ground floor frontage is mostly obscured by a later lean-to, but there is one 4-pane sash window to the right. To the left, the lower two-storey wing features a three-window range of plastic 4-pane windows, which are replacements for the original sashes and have slightly cambered heads. One of these windows is similar to the ground floor, while the others are hidden by the lean-to. A canopy continues around the gable end wall to the left. At the rear, there are two replaced 4-pane windows under the eaves of the main range, along with one casement and one sash window on the ground floor.
Inside, the different levels have been partly refurbished with light oak panelling that was popular between the wars, and there is a brick-arched fireplace.
