Description

Swanbridge House is a detached, double-fronted Georgian house, likely dating from the 18th century. The exterior is primarily of unrendered rubble stone with dressed stone details. It has a slate roof punctuated by tall, narrow brick corniced stacks. The windows are sash windows set beneath slightly cambered voussoirs within painted reveals; the top floor windows have 12 panes, and two 16-pane windows flank a gabled porch. The porch features a stone plinth, wooden braces creating an arched entrance, deep bargeboards, and a boarded front door with a plain fanlight. The interior retains window shutters, six-panelled doors, and basket arches. Historically, the fireplaces have been replaced.
