Description
The churchyard cross at the Church of St Mary is made of dressed limestone and features steps constructed from large square stones. It includes a head, shaft, and socket stone, which are mounted on a base consisting of four original square steps. An inscription on the socket stone reads, "TO THE GLORY OF GOD ADMDCCCLXXXVIII THESE ANTIENT STEPS WERE BY SUBSCRIPTION RESTORED AND THIS CROSS SET THEREON, THE OLD CROSS BEING DISAPPEARED FROM A DATE BEYOND LIVING MEMORY."
