Description
The churchyard cross, located about 6 metres south of the porch of the Church of St. Mary, is believed to have been erected in 1499 and was restored in 1919 as a war memorial. It is made of limestone and features an octagonal base with five octagonal steps leading up to a plinth that has broach stops. The square socket stone is adorned with carvings of angels on its sides, with two original and two restored figures. The shaft is topped by a stone lantern, which is square and has cusped openings on each side, each containing carved figures. The structure is capped with a stepped pyramidal roof.
