Description
The Dovecote at Llanmaes House is a Grade II listed building constructed from local limestone random rubble with a Welsh slate roof. It has a rectangular shape and features a gable roof. The structure appears to be two storeys high, suggesting it may have originally served as a gazebo before becoming a dovecote.
On the ground floor, there is a plain door located on the north wall and a small window on the east wall. The upper wall shows signs of a blocked window above the existing one. The west wall includes a perching ledge and an arched opening that leads to the columbarium in the gable, along with a small opening in the south wall positioned under the eaves.
Inside, the ground floor room is quite plain, featuring a late 20th-century timber ceiling. The upper floor was not accessible for inspection during the resurvey.
