Description
This building is a public convenience constructed with concrete and brick panels. It features a flat roof and is a single-storey structure with an irregular symmetrical eight-bay neo-classical façade. The façade includes a cornice and pilasters that divide the bays. The entrances are centrally located, with the Ladies' room to the left and the Gentlemen's room to the right, each having recessed enclosures and doors leading to the outer bays. The frieze displays raised steel lettering that reads 'PUBLIC CONVENIENCE LAVATORIES & CLOAKROOMS', while the architrave above each door indicates 'LADIES' and 'GENTLEMEN'.
The building narrows towards the rear and has high-level windows that were blocked at the time of inspection. It features corner pilasters, a continuous cornice, and ramps leading to the roof level. On the downhill side, there are double doors and side windows to a lower ground floor.
In front of the building, there are two triangular enclosures bordered by concrete piers and balustrades on brick plinth walls.
