Description

The East Shelter is an open shelter built in a Classical style. It is a tall single-storey concrete structure that spans the seafront promenade and is set within the seafront wall. The shelter features nine bays, which are divided by paired Tuscan columns that support a full entablature and a balustraded pediment above. The structure has sloping flank walls on either side. There is a viewing platform on the roof, which can be accessed from the higher ground behind the shelter.
