Description
58 High Street is a three-storey house featuring a well-preserved three-bay front elevation made of stucco. The building has a roll-moulded and modillion eaves cornice and a slate roof, with a rendered stack at the rear and a stone stack built up in brick on the right side. The windows include sixteen-pane sash windows, while the top floor has 12-pane sashes arranged as four over eight. The ground floor windows are adorned with cornices on consoles, the first floor windows have shouldered architraves, pulvinated friezes, and cornices, and the smaller second-floor windows also feature shouldered architraves. The central entrance consists of a four-panelled door with an overlight, set beneath a Doric porch that has a flat entablature with a triglyph frieze supported by two columns and pilasters on the wall. There is a small section of iron railing to the right.
Inside, the house contains six-panel doors, a 19th-century marble fireplace, and a staircase with straight balusters.
