Description
Myrtle House is a three-storey, double-fronted house featuring painted stucco and a slate roof with an end brick stack. It is similar in style to the adjoining Myrtle House. The top floor has four-pane sash windows positioned under the eaves, while the first floor boasts a pair of large canted oriel windows with 2-4-2-pane glazing, cornices, hipped slate roofs, and chamfered bases. The ground floor is centered by a six-panel door with an overlight, set within a stucco pilastered doorcase that includes an entablature and cornice. There are large four-pane sashes on either side of the door, and iron flower guards made by Priory Foundry in Carmarthen. The house stands on a raised plinth.
Inside, there is an inner lobby featuring an acanthus rose and an inner door with an overlight. The hall arch is supported by ornate plaster corbels. The staircase includes a large bulbous turned newel post, a ramped rail, stick balusters, and moulded tread ends.
