Ripley is a house constructed of painted stucco with a slate close-eaved roof and a right end stack that is built into the adjoining St Mary's. The building has two storeys and an attic, along with cellars, and features two bays that are offset to the left. In the attic, there are two 4-pane sash windows that break the eaves under the gables. On the first floor, there is a 4-pane sash window to the left and a canted oriel window to the right, which has 2-4-2-pane sashes and a hipped roof. The ground floor includes a tripartite sash window with 2-4-2 panes to the right and a doorway to the left that is adorned with pilasters and a cornice. The doorway features a 20th-century door and overlight. The house also has a raised plinth and a basement grille.
